Regular Season Round 7: Unieuro Forli - Bakery PIA 90-66
Date: November 11, 2018
There was no surprise when 9th ranked Bakery PIA (3-4) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Unieuro Forli (5-2) 90-66 on Sunday. It was a very good performance for American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Melvin Johnson (193-93, college: VCU) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Unieuro Forli players scored in double figures. Unieuro Forli's coach Giorgio Valli felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (165-82, college: St.Bonaventure) answered with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Andrea Crosariol (212-84, college: Fair Dickinson) added 16 points in the effort for Bakery PIA. Unieuro Forli maintains fourth place in A2 with 5-2 record. Newly promoted Bakery PIA dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Unieuro Forli will face Bondi Ferrara (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Bakery PIA will play against Tezenis VER and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
