Regular Season Round 8: KK Warszawa - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 82-91

There was no surprise when 5th ranked KK Warszawa (4-4) lost at home to top-ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (6-0) 91-82 on Sunday. Tur Bielsk Pdl. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (194-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Aaron Weres (197-91) contributed with 11 points and 8 assists for the winners. Tur Bielsk Pdl.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Patryk Jankowski (197-98) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Bogdan Izrailewski (184-99) added 17 points in the effort for KK Warszawa. Five KK Warszawa players scored in double figures. Tur Bielsk Pdl. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 6-0 record behind leader Zubry. Loser KK Warszawa dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will face Nadarzyn (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. KK Warszawa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Warszawa to the arena Legia 2.
