Regular Season Round 7: KFUM Blackeberg - Akropol 75-76

Very significant was Akropol's (#4) just 1-point road victory against 3rd placed KFUM Blackeberg 76-75. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It looked good early as KFUM Blackeberg took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Akropol had a 25-20 second period charge getting the lead and KFUM Blackeberg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-76. Akropol made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. KFUM Blackeberg was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Serbian forward Dragan Damjanovic (203-88) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Brayan Angulo (-94) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Forward Joacim Edlund (195-93) came up with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Daniel Persson (198-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for KFUM Blackeberg in the defeat. Four KFUM Blackeberg players scored in double figures. Akropol (4-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Bankeryd. KFUM Blackeberg at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Hammarby. Akropol will play against league's leader Taby Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Blackeberg will have a break next round.
