The game in Iwate was also quite interesting. Third ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (3-9). Tokyo Cinq R. defeated Iwate Big Bulls 68-53 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Deangelo Kirkland (203-89, college: Columbus St., agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) helped adding 5 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side American Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ban Kosei (168-93) scored 9 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Cinq R. maintains third place with 7-5 record having four points less than leader Koshigaya A. Loser Iwate Big Bulls keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Tokyo Cinq R. will face Aisin AW (#8) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Iwate Big Bulls will play on the road against the league's second-placed Tokyo Excel. and hope to win that game.
