Regular Season Round 6: Ura Basket II - Raholan Pyrkiva 99-109

1st Division top team - Raholan Pyrkiva (6-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Ura Basket II (3-2) in Kaarina 109-99. Ura Basket II was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 32-16 charge of Raholan Pyrkiva, which allowed them to win the game. They made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Russian guard Artem Shchepkin (189-86) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and American forward Juan Davis (203-96, college: Troy) supported him with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Shchepkin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 27 points and 4 assists by guard Roope Kyyhkynen (185-99) did not help to save the game for Ura Basket II. Forward Joona Airenne (200-98) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Raholan Pyrkiva and four Ura Basket II players scored in double figures. Ura Basket II's coach Jukka Valpola tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Raholan Pyrkiva maintains first position in Division with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Ura Basket II dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
