There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Palestrina (4-3) beat on the road 6th ranked Scauri (4-2) 86-72 on Sunday. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (196-80, agency: Players Group) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Nelson Rizzitiello (198-84) chipped in 13 points. Five Palestrina players scored in double figures. Andrea Longobardi (199-94) produced 22 points and 9 rebounds and Mattia Ciman (193-93, agency: Players Group) added 29 points respectively for lost side. Palestrina moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Scauri dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Palestrina will face Pozzuoli (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Scauri will play against Roma Luiss (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
