Very expected game when 12th ranked Pompea MNV (2-5) lost to fifth ranked De Longhi TRV (5-2) in Mirandola 74-80 on Sunday. Pompea MNV was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for the former international point guard Matteo Imbro (192-94) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Matteo Chillo (203-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five De Longhi TRV players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian Mario-Jose Ghersetti (201-81) answered with 16 points and American forward Anthony Morse (206-94, college: Tenn Tech, agency: Two Points) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Pompea MNV. De Longhi TRV moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Pompea MNV dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. De Longhi TRV will face Termoforgia JE (#15) in Jesi in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pompea MNV will play on the road against Orasi RAV in Ravenna and hope to win that game.
