There was no surprise when 9th ranked Corato (3-4) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Pescara (4-2) 84-76 on Sunday. Swingman Alessandro Poti (192-91) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Andrea Capitanelli (208-86) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Mauro Stella (190-84, agency: Players Group) produced 25 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Ferdinando Smorra (185-88) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Four Corato players scored in double figures. Pescara moved-up to fifth place in B. Newly promoted Corato dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Pescara will face Ancona Luciana (#8) at home in the next round. Corato will play against Teramo and hope to win that game.
