Regular Season Round 7: Gorzow Wlkp. - Wisla Krakow 64-75

The most shocking disappointment of round 7 in the EBLK was a home defeat of 6th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (4-2) to seventh ranked Wisla Krakow (5-1) 75-64. It ended the three-game winning streak of AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. It was a great evening for Spanish forward Maria Araujo (188-97) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: Florida St.) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Ariel Atkins (180-96, college: Texas) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Laura Juskaite (187-97) scored 5 points and 7 rebounds. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Wisla Krakow have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Wisla Krakow are looking forward to face Widzew (#9) in Lodz in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will have a break next round.
