A1 top team - Olympiacos (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Lavrio (2-3) in Pireus 102-63. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lavrio's 30. Olympiacos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Lavrio's players. Serbian center Nikola Milutinov (212-94, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Zach LeDay (201-94, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Olympiacos players scored in double figures. American guard Silas Melson (193-96, college: Gonzaga) answered with 23 points and center Dimitrios Kaklamanakis (205-94) added 10 points in the effort for Lavrio. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Peristeri GS and Panathinaikos. Lavrio at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Olympiacos is looking forward to face league's second-placed Panathinaikos in Athens in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lavrio will play at home against Kolossos HH (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
