There was no surprise in Barcelona where 9th ranked Barbera (3-5) was crushed by second ranked Mollet (7-1) 93-71 on Sunday. Mollet shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Imanol Martinez (195-0) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-95) chipped in 15 points. Point guard Sergio Guardia (188-88) produced 16 points and power forward David Martinez (205-96) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mollet have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group C-B leader, which they share with Pardinyes-L. Loser Barbera dropped to the twelfth place with five games lost. Mollet will face Martinenc (#9) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barbera will play on the road against Alfinden in Zaragoza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
