Regular Season Round 6: VL Pesaro - Alma TR 103-77

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Alma TR (2-4) was crushed on the road by fourteenth ranked VL Pesaro (2-4) 103-77 on Monday. VL Pesaro made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Erik McCree (203-93, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 30 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard James Blackmon (193-95, college: Indiana) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) who recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Argentinian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) added 17 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. VL Pesaro moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Alma TR. VL Pesaro will face higher ranked MIA-RO Cantu (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
