Important game to mention about took place in Split. Fifth ranked KK Zadar (4-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Split (4-2) 76-75 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Split. Split was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 25-10 third quarter run of KK Zadar. KK Zadar made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. KK Zadar players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for power forward Domagoj Vukovic (206-93) who saved his team from a defeat with 11 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Mario Little (198-87, college: Kansas) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. KK Zadar's coach Ante Nazor allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Pavle Marcinkovic (197-89) replied with 15 points and 7 assists and Mateo Kedzo (205-84) added 18 points in the effort for Split. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Zadar moved-up to third place, which they share with Split and Osijek. KK Zadar will play against Alkar (#6) in Sinj in the next round. Split will play on the road against Gorica in Velika Gorica and hopes to get back on the winning track.
