Regular Season Round 6: Rubon - RCOP Tsmoki 101-61

Bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to sixth ranked Rubon (3-4) 101-61 on Tuesday evening. The game without a history. Rubon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to RCOP Tsmoki's 48. Rubon forced 24 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 58-38 including 25 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Russian forward Marsel Ovsepyan (202-90) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Pavel Kadol (194-89) supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Rubon players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by Raman Gest (197-1) did not help to save the game for RCOP Tsmoki. Center Aleksey Tsynkevich (203-1) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. RCOP Tsmoki's coach Aleksandr Poderachev gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Rubon moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tsmoki II. Loser RCOP Tsmoki still closes the standings with six games lost. Rubon will meet higher ranked Brest (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. RCOP Tsmoki will play against COR-Borisfen (#3) in Mogilev and hopes to get finally their first victory.
