Rather expected game in Torreon where 6th ranked Santos (3-8) were defeated by fourth ranked Laguneros (6-5) 103-96. Laguneros players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for American guard Rayes Gallegos (188-90, college: Nebraska) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. The other American import forward Jonathan Cortez (201, college: Life Pacific) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward BJ West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201-89, college: Bethel, KS) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Santos. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Laguneros have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Panteras. Santos at the other side keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Laguneros' next round opponent will be again Santos (#6) in San Luis Potosi.
