No shocking result in a game when third ranked KK Zadar (5-2) crushed at home 7th ranked Alkar (3-4) 99-71 on Wednesday. The game without a history. KK Zadar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KK Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Alkar's 34. They outrebounded Alkar 40-24 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alkar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for international point guard Luka Bozic (200-96) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Mislav Brzoja (198-94, college: Evansville, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Hrvoje Vucic (210-91, college: Walsh) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Josh Brown (190-94, college: Temple) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Alkar. Five KK Zadar and four Alkar players scored in double figures. Alkar's coach Srdjan Helbich gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. KK Zadar have a solid series of three victories in a row. KK Zadar maintains third place with 5-2 record behind leader Cedevita. Loser Alkar keeps the seventh position with four games lost. KK Zadar will face H.Analitica (#6) in Zagreb in the next round. Alkar will play at home against Gorica and hope to win that game.
