Regular Season Round 8: Nova Ves - Inter Bratislava 65-91

SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Nova Ves (3-5) 91-65. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 28. Inter Bratislava forced 22 Nova Ves turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) who scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Viktor Juricek (211-93, college: Texas A&M-CC) produced 28 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Eric Nottage (188-94, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Inter Bratislava and four Nova Ves players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Inter Bratislava have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Loser Nova Ves keep the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Handlova and Rieker KN. Inter Bratislava will meet at home league's second-placed Zilina in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play against Prievidza (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
