Regular Season Round 6: Honka - Sykki 92-73

No shocking result in a game in Espoo where sixth ranked Honka (3-3) smashed 8th ranked Sykki (2-5) 92-73 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Honka. Sykki managed to win fourth quarter 24-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Honka forced 21 Sykki turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Sebastian Lindberg (193-2) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Alvar Peltoniemi (196-1) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Honka players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Mikko Savolainen (196-2) with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Alvar Pemberton (195-0) scored 23 points. Sykki's coach Tomas Luomanmaki rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Honka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with HNMKY. Sykki lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Go Time and HoNsU. Honka will meet higher ranked KTP (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sykki's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Helsinki to the arena HoNsU.
