The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Perth Lynx (5-2) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Boomers (7-3) 89-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Perth Lynx. They outrebounded Perth Lynx 48-32 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Boomers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Perth Lynx's players. American guard Lindsay Allen (173-95, college: Notre Dame) scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Cayla George (192-89) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Boomers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Brittany McPhee (183-96, college: Stanford) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Perth Lynx's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Boomers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-3 record. Perth Lynx at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with UC Capitals. Boomers are looking forward to face Adelaide Lightning (#5) at home in the next round. Perth Lynx will play against Sydney Uni Flames and is hoping to win this game.
