Rather expected game in Radom where 12th ranked Rosa (2-5) was defeated by ninth ranked Anwil (4-3) 81-68 on Friday. Anwil dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Rosa's 24. They outrebounded Rosa 40-21 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Anwil looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Chase Simon (201-89, college: Detroit Mercy) fired 23 points for the winners. Russian forward Valery Likhodey (205-86, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Cullen Neal (193-94, college: St.Mary's, CA) produced 20 points and American-Hungarian point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place. Loser Rosa dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Spojnia and GTK Gliwice. Anwil will meet higher ranked Legia (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosa will play against AZS Koszalin (#16) and hope to secure a win.
