Regular Season Round 7: COR-Borisfen - RCOP Tsmoki 106-64

Bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (0-7) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to third ranked COR-Borisfen (7-1) 106-64 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. COR-Borisfen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to RCOP Tsmoki's 40. COR-Borisfen forced 31 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Siarhei Tatur (194-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 assists. Guard Aleksandr Kharkevich (186-86) helped adding 21 points and 4 assists. Five COR-Borisfen players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Aleksey Tsynkevich (203-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and Raman Gest (197-1) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. COR-Borisfen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. RCOP Tsmoki at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. COR-Borisfen are looking forward to face Tsmoki-Minsk (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. RCOP Tsmoki's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk Tsmoki II.
