Regular Season Round 6: Koroivos - Charilaos TM 81-60

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Koroivos (4-2) smashed at home 13th ranked Charilaos TM (2-4) 81-60 on Saturday. Koroivos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Latvian point guard Toms Leimanis (190-94) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Giorgos Giouzelis (204-95) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Koroivos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Stefan Djordjevic (206-89) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Efstathios Papadionysiou (189-92) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Charilaos TM's coach Giannis Dimitriadis gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Koroivos moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Charilaos TM keeps the thirteenth position with four games lost. Koroivos will meet league's leader Ionikos Nikaias on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Charilaos TM will play against the league's second-placed Iraklis (#2) and hope to secure a win.
