A very interesting game took place in Barcelona. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 13th ranked Barca II (3-5) to seventh ranked Oviedo CB (5-3) 63-60 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was Finnish forward Matti Nuutinen (202-90, agency: Blacktop Management) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Latvian Davis Geks (192-95) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. Sergi Martinez (203-99) produced 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese center Atoumane Diagne (215-98) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Barca II's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oviedo CB have a solid three-game winning streak. Oviedo CB moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valladolid and Granada. Barca II at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Oviedo CB's next round opponent will be Araberri (#15) in Vitoria-Gasteiz and are hoping to win another game. Barca II will play on the road against Castello in Castellon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
