Everything went according to plan when leader Marbella (7-0) defeated at home 3rd placed Multiopticas Baza (4-3) 74-67 on Saturday. It was a good game for American guard Tyler Desrosiers (188, college: Post) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import swingman Charles Knowles (196-93, college: William Penn) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Alberto Perez (201-98) answered with 14 points and guard Sergio Valdeolmillos (190-94, college: Academy of Art) added 15 points in the effort for Multiopticas Baza. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Marbella. They maintain first place in Group D-A with 7-0 record. Loser Multiopticas Baza keeps the third position with three games lost. Marbella will face Cazorla (#4) on the road in the next round. Multiopticas Baza will play against Almeria and hope to win that game.
