There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Milano (3-5) beat at home 11th ranked San Martino (3-5) 59-50 on Saturday. Milano made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Milano outrebounded San Martino 46-31 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Susanna Toffali (170-98) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Giulia Gombac (180-94) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Guard Alice Milani (170-99) responded with 16 points and center Beatrice Baldi (185-0) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Milano moved-up to tenth place in A2. Milano will face league's second-placed Costa Masnaga on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. San Martino will play against Bolzano BK (#6) and hope to win that game.
