Regular Season Round 16: Hiroshima D. - Sendai 89ers 89-86

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Sendai 89ers (12-4) in Hiroshima on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Dragonflies (15-1) 89-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sendai 89ers. Dragonflies forced 20 Sendai 89ers turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. Dragonflies looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international forward Shogo Asayama (192-81) fired 38 points (!!!) for the winners. American power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Tyler Harris (208-93, college: Auburn) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Jun Abe (177-86) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Dragonflies have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Dragonflies maintains first position with 15-1 record which they share with defeated Sendai 89ers. Sendai 89ers at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. Dragonflies are again looking forward to face league's leader Sendai 89ers at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sendai 89ers will have a break next round.
