Regular Season Round 9: SMS PZKosz - Tarnovia 91-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Tarnovia's (1-7) road loss to eleventh ranked SMS PZKosz (2-5) 75-91 on Saturday. SMS PZKosz looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Patryk Stankowski (192-0) stepped up and scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Michal Krasuski (195-0) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four SMS PZKosz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Piotr Janowski (195-93) with 21 points and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Milosz Sroczynski (195-90) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. SMS PZKosz maintains eleventh place in Group A with 2-5 record. Tarnovia lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with seven games lost. SMS PZKosz will face league's second-placed Pelplin in Pelpin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tarnovia will play at home against Gniezno (#8) and hope to win that game.
