Regular Season Round 9: Castellbisbal - Tarragona 52-79

Very expected game when 9th ranked Castellbisbal (3-6) was smashed at home by fifth ranked Tarragona (7-2) 79-52 on Saturday. It was a good game for point guard David Fernandez (179-91) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Center Ferran Torres (201-88) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Marc Manes (196-86) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Aleix Camprubi (193-87) added 11 points in the effort for Castellbisbal. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tarragona moved-up to third place in Group C-A. Castellbisbal lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Tarragona will face Mataro Parc Boet (#5) at home in the next round. Castellbisbal will play against the league's leader Quart (#1) and hope to win that game.
