Regular Season Round 9: Azuqueca - Menorca 79-61

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Azuqueca (6-3) beat at home 8th ranked Menorca (3-6) 79-61 on Saturday. It was a good game for Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Venezuelan forward Luis Valera (202-88, college: UTRGV) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Azuqueca players scored in double figures. American guard Richaud Pack (191-92, college: Maryland) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Javier Hernandez (182-92) added 10 points in the effort for Menorca. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Azuqueca moved-up to fourth place in Silver. Menorca at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Azuqueca will face Albacete (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Menorca will play against the league's second-placed Villarrobledo and hope to win that game.
