Very important is a road loss of third ranked Shimane Magic (10-6) against fifth ranked Nishinomiya S. (5-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Shimane Magic was defeated by Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo 70-54. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. Nishinomiya S. forced 21 Shimane Magic turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 21 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Hiromu Kitagawa (182-91) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Shimane Magic. Nishinomiya S. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fukushima. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Nishinomiya S. will again play against higher ranked Shimane Magic (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Shimane Magic will have a break next round.
