Regular Season Round 9: Yamanashi QB - Chanson V-M 86-102

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (0-9) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to tenth ranked Chanson V-M (4-5) 102-86 on Saturday evening. Chanson V-M made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game, while Yamanashi QB only scored two points from the stripe. Chanson V-M forced 21 Yamanashi QB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Rika Tanimura (185-93) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. International forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) chipped in 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) who recorded 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Hoshida Miho (163-94) added 17 points, 10 assists and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Yamanashi QB's coach Yutaka Minakami rotated thirteen players seeing no chance for a win. Chanson V-M moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hitachi Cougars and Haneda Vickies. Yamanashi QB lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. They share the position with Niigata R.. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamanashi QB will play again against Chanson V-M (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
