Regular Season Round 8: Saitama Bron. - Koshigaya A. 88-92

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Saitama. First ranked Koshigaya A. faced 4th ranked Saitama Broncos. Guests from Tokyo (12-1) defeated host Saitama Broncos (5-8) 92-88. Koshigaya A. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 34. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) supported him with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 15 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists by Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) did not help to save the game for Saitama Broncos. Center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 19 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Koshigaya A. have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Despite that victory Koshigaya A. went down to second position due to points difference. Saitama Broncos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Koshigaya A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo .
