There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Ponzano (2-6) was rolled over on the road by fourteenth ranked Bolzano AV (2-6) 59-40 on Saturday. Bolzano AV made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Luxembourg forward Nadia Mossong (182-86, college: E.Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 steals and swingman Alessandra Gottardi (175-89) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Claudia Gobbo (-98) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Giulia Zecchin (178-97) scored 11 points. Ponzano's coach Maurizio Sottana tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bolzano AV moved-up to thirteenth place in A2. Bolzano AV will face higher ranked Marghera (#9) in Venezia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ponzano will play at home against Albino (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
