Regular Season Round 7: Olimpico 64 - Granada 55-74

Bottom-ranked Olimpico 64 (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 74-55 loss to eleventh ranked Granada (3-4) in Madrid on Saturday evening. American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) fired 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Maria Cerqueira (174-74) chipped in 14 points. Beatriz Parada (178-86) produced 15 points and swingman Susana Bacete (179-93) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Granada moved-up to tenth place in Group B. Olimpico 64 lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Granada will face league's second-placed Almeria at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpico 64 will play against De La Torre (#12) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
