No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Gijon Basket (4-2) crushed at home bottom-ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (0-6) 99-55 on Saturday. Gijon Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Agustinos-Leclerc's 26 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Gijon Basket forced 29 Agustinos-Leclerc turnovers. It was a good game for Canadian-Nigerian Kenny Ejim (, college: Humber) who led his team to a victory with 29 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Canadian forward Ryan Ejim (201, college: Carleton) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Gijon Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Miguel Dominguez (197-95) answered with 9 points and 14 rebounds and Javier Lopez added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Agustinos-Leclerc. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gijon Basket moved-up to sixth place in Group A-B, which they share with PBB. Agustinos-Leclerc lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Gijon Basket will face league's leader Ponferrada CDP on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agustinos-Leclerc's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Leon Leon.
