Regular Season Round 9: Sant Adria - SESE 86-61

Very expected game when 8th ranked SESE (4-5) was smashed on the road by third ranked Sant Adria (7-2) 86-61 on Saturday. Sant Adria outrebounded SESE 57-28 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by SESE's players. SESE was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Oscar Amo (205-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Enric Nogales (187-94) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Albert Barquets (189-98) answered with 25 points and forward Albert Montalvo (199-99) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for SESE. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Sant Adria. They maintain third place in Group C-B with 7-2 record having just two point less than leader Lliria. Newly promoted SESE dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Sant Adria will face Andorra II (#7) on the road in the next round. SESE will play against the league's second-placed Pardinyes-L. and hope to win that game.
