Regular Season Round 9: Boet - Martorell 67-78

There was an upset when 4th placed Mataro Parc Boet (6-3) lost at home to tenth ranked Martorell (4-5) 78-67 on Saturday. Martorell dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mataro Parc Boet's 38. It was a good game for point guard Albert Valle (181-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Jordi Ramon (198-90) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Adrian Tato answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American Nicholas Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Mataro Parc Boet. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Martorell. They moved-up to eighth place in Group C-A, which they share with Valls Nutrion. Loser Mataro Parc Boet keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Martorell will face higher ranked Mataro Feimat (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mataro Parc Boet will play against Tarragona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
