Regular Season Round 9: Culleredo - Chantada 71-61

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Chantada (3-3) lost on the road to third ranked Culleredo (5-1) 71-61 on Saturday. It was a good game for Georgian swingman Luka Bulashvili (192-98) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. American forward Trevin Woods (198, college: Arkansas Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Adria Baiget (190-89) answered with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Daniel Manchon (193-98) added 15 points in the effort for Chantada. The victory was the third consecutive win for Culleredo. They keep a position of Group A-B leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Chantada keeps the eighth place with three games lost. Culleredo will face PBB (#7) in Porrino in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Chantada will play on the road against Estudiantes L. in Lugo and hope to win that game.
