Regular Season Round 6: Ethnikos - Karditsas 69-84

Bottom-ranked Ethnikos (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-69 loss to fourth ranked Karditsas (4-2) in Pireus. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for guard Spyros Magounis (200-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81) contributed with 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. Anastasios Kokorogiannis (203-92) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Vassilis Tzimis (191-96) added 21 points in the effort for Ethnikos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Karditsas moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ethnikos at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Karditsas will play against Psychiko (#10) in Athens in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ethnikos will play on the road against Marousi (#12) in Athens and hopes to get finally their first victory.
