Very important is a road loss of second ranked Lleida Basquet (6-2) against eighth ranked CB Granada (5-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Lleida Basquet was defeated by CB Granada in Granada 79-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lleida Basquet. CB Granada players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lleida Basquet's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Josep Perez (184-94) who added 12 points during the contest. American guard Robert Turner (190-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) responded with 14 points and British-Australian forward Obi Kyei (206-94, college: Eckerd, agency: Two Points) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Granada moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valladolid and Oviedo. Lleida Basquet at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. CB Granada will play against league's second-placed Magia Huesca on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lleida Basquet will play against Real Canoe and hopes to get back on the winning track.
