Regular Season Round 10: Monaco - Levallois 87-89

A very interesting game took place in Monaco. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 11th ranked Monaco (5-5) to fourth ranked Levallois (7-3) 89-87 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Monaco. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Julian Wright (203-87, college: Kansas, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. The other American import swingman Jaron Johnson (198-92, college: Louisiana Tech) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International guard Paul Lacombe (190-90, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 21 points and 8 assists and Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-90, college: Ball St.) added 18 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Monaco. Five Levallois and four Monaco players scored in double figures. Levallois moved-up to second place, which they share with Strasbourg. Monaco at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Levallois' next round opponent will be Provence Basket (#17) in Fos-sur-Mer which should be an easy win for them. Monaco will play on the road against Le Mans (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
