Regular Season Round 8: Roma Luiss - Scauri 81-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Scauri's (4-3) road loss to sixth ranked Roma Luiss (6-2) 64-81 on Saturday. Roma Luiss dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Scauri's 28 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Scauri 40-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Scauri was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Francesco Faragalli-Serroni (178-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 5 assists. Power forward Francesco Infante (202-92) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. San Marino swingman Gioele Moretti (190-93) replied with 19 points and point guard Antonio Gallo (188-0, agency: Players Group) added 15 points in the effort for Scauri. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Roma Luiss maintains sixth position in B with 6-2 record. Loser Scauri dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Roma Luiss will face league's leader Salerno at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Scauri will play against IUL Tiber (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
