Regular Season Round 16: Chiba Jets - Osaka Evessa 88-58

An interesting game for Chiba Jets (12-4) which hosted in Chiba 4th ranked Osaka Evessa (6-10). Second ranked Chiba Jets had an easy win 88-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osaka Evessa. Chiba Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Osaka Evessa's 30. Chiba Jets forced 24 Osaka Evessa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a very good performance for naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) replied with 10 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) added 6 points and 6 assists in the effort for Osaka Evessa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets keep a position of league leader, which they share with Niigata Albirex. Loser Osaka Evessa keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Chiba Jets will face again Osaka Evessa (#4) at home in the next round.
