Regular Season Round 6: 36ers - Hawks 104-79
Date: November 17, 2018
The game in Findon supposed to be also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Illawarra Hawks (3-6) played at the court of seventh ranked Adelaide 36ers (3-7). Adelaide 36ers smashed Illawarra Hawks 104-79. American forward Jacob Wiley (203-94, college: E.Washington) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) supported him with 16 points and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds by the former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (200-91) did not help to save the game for Illawarra Hawks. American guard Cedric Jackson (191-86, college: Cleveland St.) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelaide 36ers maintains seventh position with 3-7 record. Illawarra Hawks at the other side keep the sixth place with six games lost. Adelaide 36ers' next round opponent will be again higher ranked Illawarra Hawks (#6) in Gwynneville and it may be quite challenging game.
