Center Yaiza Garcia (190-88) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Greek-Nigerian forward Jessica Ogunnorin (185-92, college: VCU) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gran Canaria moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. Genero lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Gran Canaria will face Real Canoe (#6) in Madrid in the next round. Genero will play at home against ASEFA Estudiantes (#7) and hope to win that game.
