Everything went according to plan when second ranked Mollet (8-1) outplayed at home 10th ranked Martinenc (3-6) 88-63 on Sunday. It was a good game for guard Santiago Serrataco (187-90) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Center Angel Soto (205-90) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Mollet players scored in double figures. Swingman Borja Pascual (190-86) answered with 13 points and guard Marc Sese (190-93) added 14 points in the effort for Martinenc. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Mollet. They keep a position of Group C-B leader, which they share with Pardinyes-L. Newly promoted Martinenc dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. Mollet will face JAC Sants (#8) in Barcelona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Martinenc will play at home against Alfinden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
