Bottom-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of five consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time they outleveled sixth-ranked Hapoel B/S in Nes Ziyona 105-84. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference suggests that Ironi Nes-Ziona is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They shot 62.3 percent from the field. Ironi Nes-Ziona had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Ironi Nes-Ziona looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American swingman Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) fired 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Welsh Tal-Michael Dunne (198-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) produced 18 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) added 13 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel B/S's coach Rami Hadar gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Ironi Nes-Ziona (2-5) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Ironi Nahariya. Newly promoted Hapoel B/S keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Maccabi Ashdod. Ironi Nes-Ziona will meet Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#10) on the road in the next round. Hapoel B/S will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
