Regular Season Round 10: Yamanashi QB - Chanson V-M 81-119

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 119-81 loss to eighth ranked Chanson V-M (5-5) in Yamanashi. They dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Yamanashi QB's 42. Chanson V-M forced 19 Yamanashi QB turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 25-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chanson V-M players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists. The former international center Rika Tanimura (185-93) notched 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) supported her with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Chanson V-M players scored in double figures. Even 12 points and 5 assists by power forward Moeno Mino (176-93) did not help to save the game for Yamanashi QB. Guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) added 14 points and 5 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chanson V-M moved-up to seventh place. Yamanashi QB at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Chanson V-M's next round opponent will be Hitachi Cougars (#10) in Hitachinaka. Yamanashi QB will play at home against Toyota A. and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
