An interesting game for Kumamoto V. (12-5) which hosted in Kumamoto second-ranked Toyotsu FE (12-5). Second ranked Kumamoto V. managed to get a 13-point victory 89-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 19 rebounds and the other American import forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) added 14 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Toyotsu FE. Toyotsu FE's coach Ryuji Watanabe rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kumamoto V. maintains second place with 12-5 record behind leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Toyotsu FE and Cyberdyne IR. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round. Toyotsu FE will play at home against the league's leader Dragonflies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
