Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Roma Athena and 13th ranked Pistoia had identical 1-6 record. This time Roma Athena used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Pistoia 66-49 on Sunday night. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Laura Gelfusa (185-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and guard Giulia Bernardini (176-91) who added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Roma Athena (2-6) moved-up to thirteenth place in A2. Pistoia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. Roma Athena will face Forli (#16) on the road in the next round. Pistoia will play against Orvieto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
